This system is being developed for the betterment of an android restaurant menu. It involves the 3D model of the courses available at the restaurant. There will be two steps included in the whole process of developing this project, the first step will be broken down into two parts, involving the work with 3D modeling and rendering, and

the second step involves linking and compiling the application. restaurant menu application will allow the customers to point their smartphone devices at any menu item to view additional interactive content the restaurant menu provides easy access to essential information about dishes to improve the food selection process for customers, and help restaurants sell more items it is an effective marketing tool for the restaurant owners, this food menu can also be designed with a range of other features to enhance customer experience. 

Project Objectives

To introduce something in the market/restaurant through 3d modeling so it is easy for the customer to understand the dish and visualize it before placing an order, and to make a menu interactive and tempting. This application will include 3d models, a virtual reality-based menu of any restaurant. Include a QR code with an interactive design and interface. It will be a source to interact cliché restaurants. It will not include home delivery. It will be Pakistan’s first-ever virtual 3d AR application restaurant menu.

Project Implementation Method

This system proposes a novel approach to developing the restaurant menu in such a way that is tempting and shows the food in an eye-catching way. Further, the system includes 3d models of the food the customer has to order before he places an order. 

Creating applications for devices with low technical requirements, optimizing 3D model rendering time, choosing suitable tools (APIs/SDKs/frameworks) for building 3D apps for iOS/Android, employing third-party libraries, Using C++ for mobile app development

Benefits of the Project

This system addresses the restaurant's menu in augmented reality. Which helps the customer to see the original size of the course and the way it seems on all sides. They can see each aspect of the course. It reduces the risk of customers preferring food that doesn’t meet their expectations.

 Increase in sales

This may seem too obvious, but digital orders will increase your sales. At a physical venue, you are limited by the available space. To make things worse, an overly crowded restaurant negatively impacts diners’ experience and many users prefer using a mobile app for restaurant ordering rather than visiting a physical location.

Online booking options will also increase the number of visitors who will appreciate the convenience of making reservations with an app.

Brand loyalty and customer engagement

Restaurant mobile apps will help you stay in touch with your customers, create brand awareness, and even build relationships. Through an app, they can get notifications about your hottest specials, news, and discounts, and restaurant owners may collect feedback, hold contests, or run polls and surveys.

An effective way to get customer feedback

Apps are also great means of collecting customer feedback without having to run costly interviews and surveys. Based on customer testimonials, restaurants can instantly adjust to clients’ needs and requirements, tailor their offerings and provide truly customer-oriented service

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Android application named YUM YUM. Made and brought in process by the help of technical software. Following were the steps followed:

  • PHOTOGRAMMETRY (taking plenty of pictures and merging it to make a 3D model) for that we will use the software BLENDER.
  • For the android application, we are going to use ANDROID STUDIO. The coding language we will use would be Java / C++.
