Automatic accident detection and rescue system
The Rapid growth of technology and infrastructure has made our lives easier. The advent of technology has also increased the traffic hazards and the road accidents take place frequently which causes huge loss of life and property because of the poor emergency facilities. Our project will provide an optimum solution to this draw back. An accelerometer can be used in a car alarm application so that dangerous driving can be detected. It can be used as a crash or rollover detector of the vehicle during and after a crash. With signals from an accelerometer, a severe accident can be recognized. Microcontroller sends the alert message through the GSM MODEM including the location to rescue team. So they can immediately trace the location through the GPS MODEM, after receiving the information. Then after conforming the location necessary action will be taken. If the person meets with a small accident or if there is no serious threat to anyone`s life, then the alert message can be terminated by the driver by a switch provided in order to avoid wasting the valuable time of the medical rescue team. As there is a scope for improvement and as a future implementation we can add a wireless webcam for capturing the images which will help in providing driver`s assistance.
The goal of this project is basically to rescue the survivor right after the accident, it will send a notification to the rescue team nearby the location of accident. The notification contains the location of that vehicle and the profile of the survivor. Our project will mainly focus on the following objectives:
To achieve the first goal, we will make a circuit which make connection between survivor and rescue team.
To achieve the second goal, we will send notification to the rescue team and profile of the survivor and location of accident to reach the rescue team.
To achieve our third goal, we will generate alarm in the car right after the accident by glowing the indicators and other beeps.
We will use SQL server to make database for profiles.
We will make algorithms on C Language to recognize the accident.
We will connect components according to the requirement of our project.
Based on our design, we will use Visual Studio to make desktop application
During the development process, unit testing will be done to ensure all modules are built correctly. System integration testing will be done after we have built all the components and combined them. We will test the database, the algorithms and the user interface.
Test the application with user reviews and rescue team workers.
Test the database with dummy profiles information.
Test the device by fake accident to check whether it is working properly or not.
This project will help to save human's life if anyone is in difficulties in any accident. Time is the major part of the accidents, so it saves the time and call the ambulance as soon as possible to save the life of the person.
