EMC make bi-directional communication between utilities and customers, and share their information with EMC through WLAN and EMC manage scheduling of appliances.we designed an EMC for residential sector on the basis of three heuristic algorithms in day ahead pricing system.
Project ObjectivesOur project objectives are
Minimizing load consumption by scheduling of appliances which helps us in
1) Peak-to-Avarage ratio reduction
2) Overall cost reduction
3) Co2 emission reduction per hour
4) Considering user comfort
Project Implementation MethodFor our project implementation we use matlab by testing different heuristic algorithm, bacterial foraging optimization algorithm (BFOA), genetic algorithm (GA), binary partical swarm optimization (BPSO), hybrid of BFOA with BPSO and GA with BPSO.By using different algorithms we first initialise parameters for each algorithm and follow the required steps to acheived our objectives.
Benefits of the ProjectOur project is about residential load scheduling . In which we schedule appliances in such a way that load consumption is minimum to reduce peak-to-average ratio which helps us in minimizing electricity cost and also reduce Co2 emission considering user comfort in day ahead pricing system.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableEveryone will get familiar about Energy Mangement Controller that how it reduce power consumption during peak hour of electricity prices after reduction of power consumption per hour will reduce electricity cost.
