Project Area of Specialization Software EngineeringProject SummaryIn the current era, the websites and applications which are used by the multiple users for the multiple usages. We are building a website that will help MS students for their thesis or research. Research management system is a conversion from manual physical work to online works. However, doing the work manually is far difficult because students have to choose their relevant supervisors as well as topics, after that they have to approve their documents. Student have to organize to all their documents manually, which is hectic job, sometimes documents misplaced. Therefore, we have decided to develop such website that will help our students to get all functionalities within one system.
Project ObjectivesStudents needs a platform or a system where they can manage their research paper or thesis. Currently they are doing all the working manually which is very complex to manage as there is no such system to manage their work. Many different websites have different services running separately not any website have all services and we are offering all services in one platform. This system will cover all remaining clauses, requirements, drawbacks, limitations and disadvantages. System will not allow to share any personal information to any user and all the submission/approval are being processed through this system. If any user violates any TOS (term of service) then the user will not be able to access that account again.
Project Implementation Method- For the projec implementation we use MERN stack technology to build a full fledge website.
- For Front-end we use react .js with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and javascript.
- For Database we use MONOGO DB where we can store all the data about student, satff and the operation they will perform.
- For backend we use Node.js and Express where we can perform all the functionality of the system.
Increased workflow visibility. Time savings through improved process efficiency. Optimized automated interfaces that consolidates key information together in one system. Accessible and appropriate support services to resolve issues in a timely manner. This system will provide opportunities to students as well as to management staff. Students can submit their task online easily and coordinator console can easily approve proposal, synopsis and thesis etc.
LOGIN:
- All the staff users will login according to their university mail and students will login with their university registration number.
Supervisor selection:
- after chossing topic students can choose their supervisor according to their area of feild.
Documents Uploading/Approval/Rejection
- Student will upload their documnets according to due dates.
- Supervisor, HOD can easily approv and reject their documents as well as they can also give suggestion if they reject document.
Student Progress:
- All the user can check student progress.
