Our project is to analyze the problem of pressure drag producing at the rear end of fuselage of UAV , find and impliment the different solutions to reduce the pressure drag by using CFD techniques.
Rear Fuselage Drag reduction of a High Speed Target Drone
Our project is to analyze the problem of pressure drag producing at the rear end of fuselage of UAV , find and impliment the different solutions to reduce the pressure drag by using CFD techniques.
1- Analysis of model using CFD approach to perceive the problem.
2- CFD analysis by applying ejector phenomena in order to reduce the drag.
3- Comparison of performance parameters of modified body at different conditions.
4- Adaption of more effective way to reduce pressure drag.
1- First we'll build a mathematical or analytical model to support our CFD results.
2- Then we'll go for modelling and simulations of UAV model with modifications to reduce pressure drag.
From this project we'll achieve the reduction of pressure drag at the rear side of fuselage. It'll optimize the performance of the UAV at subsonic conditions. It'll provide more stability to the UAV.
