Project Summary

Safe City in is the cornerstone of progress in all areas of human activities in terms of a district, town, city, or any other territory. From a CCTV perspective the ability to access and share relevant video feeds, both live and forensically, is a common feature, and we’re seeing agencies accessing video feeds from company systems at a fraction of the cost of installing their own cameras.

The real time resonance and monitoring through CCTV camera has always been an acute need for security and management. It includes, but not limited to, homes, hospital, universities, schools, streets etc. During the past decade a CCTV footage facilitate to resolve massive number of criminal and social incidents. Apparently, the look benefiting, however, its performance is found to be constraints due to distributed architecture installation and maintenance cost, encapsulation between each system etc. It has created a pressing need to device a centralized where public IP cam can be register on the portal. Subsequently, these cameras can be shared with other citizens on need basis. Primarily the proposed system will be a public cam sharing portal for real time community resonance and monitoring. Primarily, the scope of proposed system will be bi-folded. First, there will be a fully autonomous web portal to have a real time access to the public IP cam. It will have features like searching of stream, recording and public private mode of camera.

Project Objectives

  1. Design and implementation of a robust centralized web portal with live streaming for public IP cam Training of people on how to respond in the medical emergency
  2. Users can see the traffic, parking spots form their devices
  3. To make a Centralize IP Camera Portal where users can see the security and conditions of their city

Project Implementation Method

Analysis:

  • We will research existing applications about Surveillance Camera Portals
  • We will research on how to make our application user-friendly.

Design:

  • We will design the ERD, and other relevant diagrams before starting the implementation.
  • We will design User Interface of our application.

Development:

  • We will design and implement the database.
  • We will start the implementation of our application.

Testing:

We will test all the components of our application.

Benefits of the Project

The system will be designed for users and society in the view of security concerns, traffic routes and parking area

Benefits for Users:

  1. Citizens will get a centralized portal for checking traffic, parking spots for their vehicle
  2. Citizens can see the conditions of shops, malls and mart before going their

Benefits for Camera Hosting Users:

  1. Camera hosting Users will not need to bear the cost of DVR
  2. They can also show their camera publicly and privately

Benefits for Pakistan

Pakistan is a country where security is a main concern for the citizens, this system will decline the security concerns and the cost of DVR also, besides with this system our society can view the conditions of shops, mall, and marts or check the traffic routes for their ease.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This web application will show the publicly available camera to the user and hosting users can change their camera from public to private

For the development of our web portal, we will use React Js in frontend, NodeJs for api and Firebase for Database of our portal
