Proof of Concept Model of Missile Defense System and Destruction System
In 21st century the missile technology is rapidly developing. War is an organized armed warfare that is carried out by states, nations, national and social groups. Missiles are definitely going to be used in war. In fact, some missile has the capacity to destroy larger areas. So as to protect our nation from such an attack, A system for detection and destruction of missile, need to be developed. We are developing a proof of concept model which will able to do so.
The expected objectives of the project are as follows
• Detection of moving target(Missile)
• Real time monitoring and tracking of target motion
• Hardware implementation of detection and tracking algorithm
• Devising a firing mechanism
• Proof of concept through hardware Implementation
The project would be divided into three phases listed below:.
• Real time detection and tracking of moving target with the hlep of Active SONAR sensors
• Point and take aim by a laser pointing gun on given location.
• Making model and Interfacing the Gun with trackingsystem
Although this system is just proof of concept of project, but further developments can results in an efficient defense system which can lead us to a stronger nation in the world.
The details of final deliverables of the project are as follows
• Detection of stationary and slow moving target(Missile)
• Real time monitoring and tracking of target motion in one specific plane or in 3D space
• Hardware implementation of detection and tracking algorithm using different types of SONAR technologies
• Devising a firing mechanism, with the help of a laser or a GUN
• Proof of concept through hardware Implementation
