Pehre Dar( Surveillance system) is suitable for broad range of surveillance applications some of them are Crowd analysis, Object Detection and security applications in universities. Video surveillance system often rely on computer vision algorithms to automate surveillance tasks. By using the video streams, System will be able to do the image recognition. Through which we will perceive the required data. System will provide statistics of daily footfall. The cameras fitted at the entrance will detect in and out flow of persons. The gender of individuals will be identified and age will be marked through image recognition. Wearing mask is necessary at this time of COVID-19.System will provide the statistics that will explain the ratio of people wearing masks. The cameras used inside will provide the statistics of person occupancy in specific area and crowd analysis. System will detect the distance between two persons following the criteria of social distancing due to COVID-19.

Project Objectives Project Implementation Method

We will use Agile Scrum methodology in our project that relies on incremental development. Each iteration consists of sprint and our sprint will be equal to 2 weeks. Each sprint will be as following:

1-we will collect the data set.

2-Data set will be reprocessed and annotation will be done

3-Training will be done.

4- Validation

5-Deployment

Dataset will be downloaded from Google and we will also collected by capturing images from different places in university. Then data will be preprocessed and then annotation of data will be done. The system will be trained to make it able for Person detection, Mask Detection, Crowd analysis, Person occupancy, Age and gender Analysis, suspicious object Detection, Social Distancing. After that validation of system will be done.

Benefits of the Project

Direct Customers/Beneficiaries of the Project As we are developing university surveillance system so its direct beneficiary in university will be the admin and security office. Other than universities it can be deployed in industrial offices, Schools and Colleges. Other than these the crowded places such as malls can also use this surveillance system.

 This surveillance system will give us proper statistics of people coming in and out of the building as well as it will identify the number of females and males entering and leaving and the age wise statistics will also be displayed. Face Mask is necessary thing in this time of COVID-19.System will be able to provide us fact and figures of how many people wearing mask or not. These statistics will be displayed through web interfaces. System will provide us the analysis of person occupancy at specific area. In open places the crowd analysis is must to avoid emergency situations. So system will be able to have a look on the motion of crowd and its behavior.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The IDE used in our project will be pycharm Community. Languages that are used are Python, HTML and JavaScript. DJango framework of Python is used for web development. mySql database is used.
