Project Summary

The platform that we aim to introduce has a purpose to allow developers to earn by hosting their code as service. Many developers want to earn through their code but do not have any easy way to do so. Pay-per call Function as a Service is a one window solution, which will allow developers to earn money. Developers would be able to earn by setting a price on each call of function, whenever the consumer calls it.This could be a feasible solution for many developers as they would not require hosting APIs on servers to earn money. Pay-Per Call will help them provide their services to all the consumers and earn money without the hassle of setting up and maintaining a server. Consumers will have a limited number of test calls per day and they will only be charged when they use any developer’s function. There will be a login portal for both consumers and developers, subscription options, search service, the developers will also have an option to restrict some consumers from using their functions, they can easily view all the stats and manage their subscribers. 

Project Objectives

The project Pay-Per Call Function as a Service will meet the following objectives.

We are going to make a platform which helps developers to earn money by hosting their function as a service, and consumers will be able to use those services according to their requirements.We, as a team, have skills and will try our best to complete this project in a given period of time.

Project Implementation Method

The front-end of this platform will be based on ASP .NET Core. It will also have a queueing server and Fission will be used for implementing FaaS methodology, for clustering Kubernetes will be used. Front-end will be hosted and the back-end will be live on cloud server.

Benefits of the Project

The developers will get a platform where they can easily host their functions in order to earn money and consumers can get a way through which they can find and use any function they want.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

A platform using Function as a Service(FaaS). Fission is used to implement FaaS methodology in our system. Fission is considered over open FaaS since it gives you liberty/freedom to add code files
