Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryVideo surveillance is the process of monitoring a situation, an area or a person. This generally occurs in a military scenario where surveillance of borderlines and enemy territory is essential to a country’s safety. Human surveillance is achieved by deploying personnel near sensitive areas in order to constantly monitor for changes. But humans do have their limitations, and deployment in inaccessible places is not always possible.
There are also added risks of losing personnel in the event of getting caught by the enemy. With advances in technology over the years, it is possible to remotely monitor areas of importance by using robots in place of humans.
This project presents a modern approach for surveillance at remote and border areas using multifunctional robot based on current IOT used in defense and military applications. This robotic vehicle has ability to substitute the solider at border area to provide surveillance. The robotic vehicle works both as autonomous and manually controlled vehicle using internet communication medium.This multisensory robot used to detect presence of enemy capture it in camera and give the live streaming to the authorized person Surveillance is major role while we workin on border area for this there is robot for surveillance purpose.This paper presents a smart surveillance robot for military application by using Raspberry Pi for security purpose. An field Raspberr pi sends a wireless command to the robot by Authorized person through a controller and robot moves accordingly. The Video Streaming is done using Raspberry pi camera. The Raspberry pi programming is done in python language.
The ultrasonic sensor is installed to detect and measure the distance of the object by using sound waves.
We have also installed a hand on the vehicle to pick up samll objects if needed so.
Project ObjectivesOur project is to design and build a surveillance robot that replace the humans in the dangerous environment. The main purpose of the robot is to be able to roam around in a given environment while transmitting back real time data (video) to the authorized person and reduce the risks for humans and enhance the survillance system. This real time data can then be used by the controller (human) to move the robot around.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe robot's program instruct the robot to move to a specified point, it does not actually perform as per specified.
The ability of a robot returns repeatedly to a given position.
A robot simultaneously moving with all joints in complimentary directions at full speed with full extension.
