MUET FYP Smart Assist is web based android application, specially designed for the students and teachers of Mehran University. Students will upload their FYPs (Final Year Projects) on the system and FYPs will be evaluated by teachers on the Application, digitalizing the complete system and making it easier for the students and teachers. Students will get all the updates regarding FYPs throughout the session. It is just like a community where Students can interact or discuss issues regarding their projects with seniors, other student and also with the teachers. Student can access or download documentation of the projects and this can help the final year students to decide their field of interest for their FYPs.
Our Aim is to develop a web based android application to counter problems of students and teacher, and the idea of MUET FYP Smart Assist was born.

?To Bring those reports from seminar library to your finger touch.
?To bring transparency in judgement and evaluation of the FYPs.
?To make a platform to showcase the talent of our students.
The First step towards the development is to buy web hosting for MUET FYP Smart Assist. application. Next step is to develop the layouts of all the activities/ frames of the android application and then describing the behavior using java programming language. The first frame is for login. Others are registeration frame, home activity, view FYPs activity, upload FYP activity and profile activity. Registration activity displays a form to be filled by the user. After login the user is directed to the home page which has multiple buttons to nevigate through out the application. FYPs are uploaded to the server using Upload FYP activity. Students and teachers can view the FYPs in the view FYP section. And teacher can evaluate the FYPs using different seekbars to big marks and can add useful comments.
For server side programming we are considering to use Servlet. Android will send request to the web server, where web server is programmed using the servlet/php files and the web server will request database server. In return the web server will respond to android in json format.
For the admin panel frameworks will be used. The admin can add update delete informations and can send notifications to the application, e.g: results, schedules, presentation dates etc.


MUET FYP Smart Assist provides the following benifits to the teachers and students of the University.
MUET FYP Smart Assist is an Android platform. Students can login and register themselves on the application. And teachers can login through specific credentials given by the system admin.
Application has two sections:
FYPs’ Section
All the FYPs are displayed for all the students and teachers sorted on the basis of their rating. All students can see and download the documents of the FYPs. But only Final year students will be allowed to upload their FYPs. FYPs will be evaluated by the teachers only with the help of seekbars. On the basis of this, the projects are sorted and positions are decided.
Users can apply the filters like (departmental-wise and batch-wise) to view specific projects.



Socio Section
This section includes a list showing defferent news and notifications. These are displayed in manner that it looks like a facebook/edmodo timeline (eg, like a post) and students and teachers can download the images and pdfs if they are uploades like schedules, results etc.
Student can access or download documentation of the projects from other students and discuss about it.
The management can post the updates like schedule, notifications, results etc.
