The project is known as Motor Health Monitoring using Motor Current Signature Analysis  MCSA. Energy analyzer will take input values of three phase currents and three phase voltages.  It will then produce harmonics where each harmonic will be corresponding to a specific fault corresponding to a specific fault of rotor or stator. Hence, faults in motor can be detected beforehand. Since the faults can be predicted beforehand, it will be an important aspect in determining the Remaining Useful Life (RUL).

Project Objectives

The aim of the project is to determine most of the faults present in the rotor or stator of the motor. Since the harmonics can be obtained, future faults of rotor and stator could also be predicted. If the input current and input values of rotor and stator can be obtained along with the harmonics, then as per the MCSA, their faults can also be obtained and obtaining of these faults is very useful in predictive analysis of the motor.

Project Implementation Method

The project will be implemneted to industries and will be marketed by us. Since motors are very important in industries, industries will be needing it. 

Benefits of the Project

The project designed could be widely used in industries. Since motors are an important aspect in industries, as per MCSA, determining their faults beforehand will give industry a chance to replace a motor quickly or come up with a better solution beforehand. 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

An IoT based cloud for MCSA dataset. will be needed. Since the input current and input voltage values of motor could be taken beforehand via a cloud, a suitable IoT based sensor will be needed. 

An IoT based sensor will also be needed. The purpose of this sensor will be required to determine the faults present in the motor. Along with them, arduino protenta, Embedded systems and knowledge of programming will also be needed.
