Maternal Health Risk Prediction using Ensemble Modeling Techniques

Many women die because of maternal health risks. To prevent the maternal health risk in women, we need to provide proper health care facilities so that pregnant women can live a healthy life. It would be very beneficial if we predict the maternal health risks so that we can provide better facilities

Project Summary

Many women die because of maternal health risks. To prevent the maternal health risk in women, we need to provide proper health care facilities so that pregnant women can live a healthy life. It would be very beneficial if we predict the maternal health risks so that we can provide better facilities. Machine Learning can help us to predict the maternal health risk in women. We will use python programming to apply machine learning models on maternal health risk dataset to predict the risk level based on features. In this way we can predict risk level immediately by using machine learning.

Project Objectives

  • To predict maternal health risks by using machine learning to easily estimate the risk level based on facts rather than assumptions.
  • Hospitals can give priority to pregnant women on the basis of risk level based on the prediction of machine learning models.
  • To provide better healthcare facilities to pregnant women based on risk level.

Project Implementation Method

We will do analysis, visualizations and modeling by using python and power bi.

We will use Age, SystolicBP, DiastolicBP, Blood Sugar, Heart Rate and Body Temperature to predict Risk Level.

The models we will use are 

  • Bagging Classifier with Decision Tree Classifier
  • AdaBoost Classifier with Random
  • Voting Classifier (Bagging Classifier with Decision Tree Classifier, AdaBoost Classifier with Random forest Classifier and Gradient Boosting Classifier).

Benefits of the Project

  • Pregnant women will get better healthcare facilities.
  • New Born baby will also be in good health because of better healthcare of mother.
  • Hospitals can give priority to pregnant women based on risk level
  • Better health care facilities can be provided based on the risk level prediction.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We will do our project on jupyter notebook and write the thesis based on the resuilts
