Machine Vision Based Teleoperated Robot for Health Care Monitoring
Generally, in most of our hospitals especially in our country, we are currently using manual way/systems to maintain a record of patient health which is a difficult task for doctors and paramedical staff to visualize a patient’s condition and history and hard for a doctor to make a decision or prescribe medicine accordingly also instead of that during the last couple of years the whole world is going through a serious hazardous pandemic situation which not only affect the world economically but also financially most of the peoples lost their lives by this viral disease so, in isolation centers, doctors and other paramedical staff have to become in contact with the coronavirus patients for the checkup purposes this makes risky for the staff to be coming in contraction with this viral disease. Most cases have been seen in which the front-line health workers lost their lives to become in contact with patients for the sake of their duty.
There are some other methods for this problem such as doctors visiting patients and checking updates, a camera will be installed inwards, etc. But all of these are not as much efficient as robots. There may be a risk of mismanagement of health records.
Machine Vision-Based Teleoperated Medical robot is designed for a health monitoring system using a robot with a mounted camera on it, this will help us to record and maintain patient health history without coming in physical contact with the patients in this way we can reduce the risk of spreading of viral diseases toward Paramedical staff. It will also provide ease for the doctors to take decisions according to the patient’s health history. By keeping given all of these problems we are designing a teleoperated indigenous robot that will help paramedical staff to maintain real-time data of patients on an access control unit. Robots can be operated from the control unit and there is no need for doctor/staff members to go in contact with the patient to record his health parameters and maintain history. In the case of the robots, all these issues will be solved efficiently and the risk of data loss is minimized especially the issue of getting in contact with the Infected Patients. Our smart machine vision-based robot facilitates doctors to visualize real-time data on the app and this will lead to help the doctor in the prescription of medicine accordingly. This robot also provides the facility of video calling to carry on patient and doctor interaction or we can say the two-way communication between patient and the doctor.
