The vision is to create an online auction app where items can be put up for auction and the user can buy the item from the seller. Items that can be put on auction include a variety such as antiques, jewelry, paintings, property, clothes, and even electronic items. the user must create an account by entering the required information to access the app. This enables the user to view the items up for auction and bid on them if they want. Users can also put items for auction. A timer is set for auctions being held. The highest bidder wins the auction. The auctioned item can either be picked up from the location or delivered to the user. A customer support system will also be available for any problems or queries as well as a chat feature will also be added so that the item buyer and seller can stay in contact with each other. When an item is put for auction, it is necessary to upload its pictures from various angles so that other users can have the idea of the item from all angles and a description must be posted alongside which gives the introduction of the item and tells about its features or specialities.

Project Objectives

A user friendly mobile app for auction will be created which will allow the users to access the app by creating an account. The user will be able to put up items for auction or bid for items that are already up for auction. Each auction will have a limited time and during this time, the bidders can bid on the item. The highest bidder on the item wins the bid. The app will also provide an option for delivery. The item will be delivered to the bidder who won the bid if requested so. A chat feature will be included in the app so that the auctioneer and bidder can contact one another within the app. A customer service will be available incase of any issues or problems regarding the app or the items on app. Once the item is sold out, a logo will appear above the item stating “sold out” which indicates that the item is no longer available.

Project Implementation Method

We will create the UI & UX of our android application using Android Studio where we will make the complete the wireframe, visual as well as graphic design of the app along with thumbnails and anything else which is planned to be a part of the UI/UX. The next step is to connect the database to the application and later the APIs will be connected. Next phase is to monitor the working of app and makes changes accordingly if needed.

Benefits of the Project

It will become easier for people to participate in auctions through an online platform which will let the people participate in various auctions and bid on items they are interested in. Not everyone can visit venues for this purpose and hence such a platform would provide ease for auctioneers as well as bidders
