Communication is the main medium by which we can share our thoughts and feelings. It is important for every person, even for a person that are totally senseless. The person who is hearing impaired, use gesture-based communication for correspondence yet they discover trouble in speaking with other people who don't comprehend gesture-based communication.

There is round about two hundred phrases in sign languages that are used around the world today. There is round about 300 million people that are disable all over the world. And it has been estimated that there are about 3 hundred thousand people with hearing impairment in Pakistan.

Hearing impaired person are generally denied of typical correspondence with other people who don't comprehend the gesture-based communication. Gesture based communication is a dialect through which correspondence is conceivable without the methods for acoustic sounds.

It has been observed that deaf and dumb people often find it very difficult to interact with general people through their gestures, as only a very few people can understand.

The Propose Project is combination of hardware and software. The work depicted in this venture is to assemble a communication via gestures interpreter that utilizes hand's development to isolate the letters. The aim is to convert basic symbols that represent the 26 English alphabet ASL (American Sign Language) script. This glove is for Deaf and dumb individuals to correspond with the rest of the world.

Project Objectives

A) To provide assistance to the disable person (deaf & dumb)

B) To remove the communication barrier between general public and deaf & dumb

C) To provide a sound playback of the sign which dumb is using

Project Implementation Method

• Develop a sensing network that incorporates and differentiates the different type of hand movement used in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Interface the sensor network with a microcontroller 
• Design a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) that serves as the bridge between our hardware and software components, thereby allowing hand movements and sensor signals to be input to and processed by the microcontroller and the software code.
• The circuit board and the mobile app is connected with Bluetooth terminal.
• Develop a program that recognize sensor signals and stores those that correspond to a designated ASL sign into a code library 
• Successfully output will be displayed on the screen of the mobile 

Benefits of the Project

Our System will provide easy to use, affordable, reliable, and aesthetically-pleasing and helping hand to the disabled (DEAF). It will help the deaf to communicate to the world wothout any difficulties.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The Project will support all the Letters of the ASL (American Sign Language). It frequently detect characters and display on the screen. Along with the alphabateic letters , this susye will recognized and communicate the special signs, which includes the waving of hand (means Hello & Bye) etc.
