Water is a great blessing of Allah. It is the basic need of our life. We cannot compromise on the usage of water and its shortage may disturb the daily routine of life. Water in houses is used in daily life for bathing, drinking, cooking, cleaning, and washing. At the domestic level, people get a specific amount of bill calculated by WASA that is not according to their actual usage of water. There is water metering at tube wells where the flow of water is measured but at the domestic end there is no meter that could measure the flow rate of water coming into our houses so there is no record available on how much water is being used or wasted by in a house.Therefore to control the usage of water it has been necessary to measure the consumption of water so that we can analyze how much water is wasted by a house and
this can be done by installing the water meter at the domestic end. We can give access to this measured flow rate to the cloud so that we can monitor it on our webs and can control the wastage of water. This will helps in minimizing the shortage of water and save water for our coming generations.

Project Objectives

Our objective is to enabled water metering for domestic consumers and implementing it to server making it IoT based”. This project has scope at the industry as well as the domestic level. Water is a need for life, the demand for water is increasing day by day with the increase in population. Therefore to save the water from wastage we must install such meters that can measure our usage of water, record and analyze the wastage of water, and can calculate our bills according to our usage.

Project Implementation Method

We are using the analog water meter to measure the flow rate of water and making the output digital using the digital counter. We can get the didgital output using the arduino module and sending this data into the server using ESP32 module via WiFi. We can get the access analyze the data on the erver anytime and can check the usage of water.

Benefits of the Project

• Creating own water billing of houses according to the usage
• Creating User interface for visualizing usage and billing of water
• Save the water for generations
