IOT based System For Monitoring Roadside CO2 Emissions and Noise pollution
Climate change is considered as major environment challenge for the world . In pakistan Cities like karachi and hyderabad, It has been reported that CO2 emissions from road traffic on urban road networks have damaging impacts,Carbon dioxide is the largest constituent of road traffic greenhouse gas emissions usually, traffic has stop-and-go driving will consume more fuel and emit more CO2. We studied the spatial and temporal patterns of Noise exposure due to road traffic in hyderabad and karachi were generally higher levels of noise. According to our studies the average value of noise to be over 66db, which could cause serious annoyance according to world health organization. In addition, it is also found that CO2 emission and noise pollution these two factors are major causes of environment challenge so we will make a system that monitor CO2 emissions and noise pollution and update us about unwanted these causes on Mobile Android Application in order to mitigate unwanted these emissions and pollution on roadside with respect to IOT based system for a good health and safe environmemt.
Objectives:
This project will be implimented practically and a physical prototype of proposed system will be designed.. Hardware and software will be developed for experiments and data/performance will be analysed,
1) This will help to monitor and measure a vehicle's CO2 emissions and noise genreated by engine
2) The proposed prototype provide us important envrionment data which will be shared via cloud to owner and environmental agencies to take measures to reduce it.
3) In future, this prototype may an intigral part of every vehicle
