IOT Based Prepaid Energy Meter
First, we’ll be working on current and voltage sensing and their calibration then we will be measuring the amount of power used in KWh or units using Arduino. Then we will interface GSM/GPRS module with the Arduino and implement the Prepaid energy meter. After this we’ll implement IOT so that service providers can track their consumer usage through user friendly interface. We’ll build 2 energy meters to demonstrate a step toward Smart Grid.
The final deliverables will consist of 2 prepaid single-phase energy meters which will be sending data to a station from which service providers can track their energy usage and other factors. Each energy meter will be made up of some central processing unit, current sensing circuitry, voltage sensing circuitry, and a GSM/GPRS module.
