IOT Based Patient Monitoring System
In today's modern world, people are affected by various serious and complex diseases like heart problem, temperature, ECG, blood glucose level etc. So, people are continuously anxious about their health condition. They need to consult with doctors for checkup along with medical reports. To automate this process, Internet of Things (IOT) is a latest and fast growing technology and its features includes data acquisition, data transmission and data analytics to support smart solution especially for health care. The purpose of this project is to assist paramedic staff in general ward of hospital to monitor patient's health throughout the day. Data acquistion system consists of sensors and micro-controllers for collection and transmission of data to the cloud server. These sensors are attached on proper location of patient's body to measure heart beat, ECG, body temperature, blood glucose level, rooms humidity and oxygen level. The reports of above mentioned parameters are automatically send to the doctors. Paramedic staff can see these reports online and recomend medicines for curing of disease. As system is attached throughout the day with patient, paramedic staff can see the trends of these parameters for proper selection of medicine. Whenever the values of the parameters exceed the predefined range, our system will automatically send alert in form of e-mail and sms to the paramedic staff. This system is highly effective for the paramedic staff and the people leaving in urban and rural areas.
The implementation methodolgy of this project starts with literature review related to patient's monitoring system.
Then, we will configure cloud server on which all the data is transmitted and saved. Our cloud server requirement are as follows:
