Security Monitoring plays an important role in coordinating the planning, most criminal activities are taken place using handheld arms, particularly guns involved in most crimes like burglary, pistols and revolvers. In this project, we are working on gun and knife detection so we can inform users as soon as it is detected so that they can tell the authorities and they can dispatch their rescue vehicle without any time being consumed.
The project is about Surveillance System which will use Artificial Intelligence. We are working on a system that will detect Fire and Gun. After detecting the object i.e. Knife or Pistol it will send alarm notifications and will also stream video on App that we will design so the user after getting the notification can see the video directly.
Security-related issues can be solved with this project in our country. This project can be used in any firm, institute for security monitoring purposes and will be helpful to deal with any emergency. It will notify the user in the minimum time and then the user will take action against the threat by informing authorities.
By using Machine Learning and Computer Vision you not only detect the object at the desired place, but it can also do a task of Object Localization, send a notification to the specific Authorities for action.
We are using YOLO algo for deep learning and model training and also using android app created on flutter so that a user can interact with the system via mobile application.
For hardware we are using jetson nano with camera and wifi which will run our model and can detect any threat on runtime using our pre trained model.
Following are the main and important benefits of this project:
Final Deliverable prototype product will use hardware with python code running on it and with the android app by which specific user can register and login to see streaming video and personal information and have authority to edit its personal information.
Our System will also send a notification on the mobile sim number as soon as the threat is detected the user will be informed via text on mobile and then the user can see the live stream video from the app and can inform the authorities so the appropriate action can occur without wasting any time.
