Project Summary
The project is about Home automation.
There are three main catagories of Home which we are working on.
1. Monitoring of the enviroment such as temprature humitidy air quality and ventilation.
2. Power consumption to see which appliances is consuming how much power.
3. Control of these appliances Turn On and Turn off
We will use Andriod application for this project as HCI.
Project Objectives
- Monitoring and controlling of power consumption.
- Monitoring and notification of Enviroment at home.
- Controlling different appliances home.
Project Implementation Method
We will use Arduino for data acquisition from the enviroment as well as control the appliances through SSR. Current and voltage sensor will be used to sense the power consumption of the appliances.
The data which we get from the enviroment through Arduino will be sent to Firebase through Wi-Fi. The Android will recive the data from Firebase for visualization and notification.
Benefits of the Project
Power consumption is one of the biggest problem of the province and the whole country, Not only for public but for Government and institution as well. This project will reduce the consumption of power.
Another big issue is the death ratio due to ventilation and gas leakages. This project will also reduce the death ratio of such cases.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
The project will use sensors, a processing Board and Android mobile application. The application will have the ability to show real time consumption of appliances along with real time graph pattern. The application will also be able to notify the user, if there is some hazardeous sitiuation
