Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryFor the last few years, monitoring, maintaining and control the different environment factors and IOT (Internet of Things) became a new field of research. We can monitor and control the environmental parameters like temperature, soil moisture, and humidity of poultry farm. Node MCU reads and collects data from all the sensors that used in the system, i.e. Temperature Sensor, Soil Moisture Sensor, and Humidity Sensor and also communicate with base station over Wi Fi. We are going to develop Android and web based system which show all the data including temperature, humidity, and moisture value on web page along with providing control action of environmental parameters. We can also control all the system using mobile application. Internet of things (IOT) is a complex ecosystem covering all features of the Internet, connecting things to the Internet can be proficient with the presence of three main technology components.

Project ObjectivesThe main aim of this particular project is to provide an automated environment that control and maintained Poultry farm using low cost software and commodity hardware.
Physical content such as temperature, moisture in air, and humidity plays an important role for poultry farm management.
This system thoroughly investigate various physical parameters associated with poultry management like temperature, humidity, moisture content present in the air and air quality.
This system is very helpful to access and control the whole system remotely using your smart phones.
This prototype reduces human efforts, saves time and also increase poultry production.
Project Implementation MethodAfter collecting and assembling all the software and hardware components, we have to connect Arduino to Internet through Wi-Fi then we have to connect to Wi-Fi to all the sensors including Temperature Humidity sensor, LDR sensor and Relay. Relay is also connected to different components e.g. Fan, Bulb, Heater and Egg tray. Arduino module is also attached to online Firebase database that is used to store the data received from all the sensors and history of saved data.
Benefits of the ProjectIOT is an advanced technology for environmental condition management particularly in poultry farm management system, because temperature and humidity are important factors in poultry management. Several environmental factors have been observed continuously to improve health of chickens. Use of IOT can also help the farmers to measure the interval environment of the poultry farm and check and control at anytime and anywhere using mobile or desktop.
Several studies has be conducted in several countries like Japan, Saudi Arabia and USA and realized that most of the chickens were affected by virus. So it has become very important to maintain environment of poultry form for the chickens. The health of chicken needs to be taken care of, as it is probable that chicks are in conflict for survival. So there is no risk on the health of poultry birds that reduced cost, time and demanding labor spent on the farm. So that’s why this also offers a chance for future study.
