Intelligent Traffic Solution aims to change the world .As we all know that there is a huge and enormous impact of vehicles in our daily life. But the numbers of vehicles are increasing with increase of the population in every day. Moreover, it is in the way of becoming progressively challenge for identification of them and nearly difficult to recognize the registered of that respective owner in the violations of traffic system. Due to increasing in traffic there must be congestion and occurs many problems and difficulties for traffic violation, even congestion made many violation. Hit and run cases, kidnapping, and smuggling these are reported commonly and speed of vehicles is so much high that cannot be captured or recorded . To overcome or reduces these violation or tragedies we need to develop a system that can gives us something to tackle these issues. In this project if any vehicle violating the traffic rules for example, break the signal, wrong parking and over speeding etc. our project will automatically detect a vehicle’s number plate and allow authority to scan his/her data that is stored in their database and send them the chalan inform of email and inform them to pay their chalan within respective day. The main reason of doing this because the traffic is increasing on daily basis in our country, it gets more and more difficult to find out  the culprits of traffic violations, including signal violation, over speeding, and illegal car parking which can result in either accident or traffic jam. When this process done by system number of vehicle detected it check in our database, the database will be saved in our system in every vehicle which will be registered in our country, the system will check number if that number matches than checks honor emails and then send a violation chalan at the email of honor to pay nearest police station our system will be connected by internet. The system is made by using 40% hardware and 60% python programming hardware consist of raspberry pi, SGB night vision camera, servo motor and other necessary material. In this project, we have design a hardware using Raspberry Pi which does all of that work of finding out the culprit without the help of human being. This project is made using the PIR sensor to detect motion when the signal is red, IR sensor to detect if a car is over speeding, and another IR sensor to check if the car is illegally parked.

Project Objectives

Our project is design for overcoming the violation of traffic for example over speeding, hit and run, smuggling, kidnapping and aimed to assist the traffic police department to find out the people behind traffic disruption and violation, and take disciplinary actions against them . Like if someone is driving the car with high speed and accidently crush someone under his or her car and he just rushed away or escape somehow and traffic police don’t have enough evidence to capture or arrest them so this project is highly effective to track down them and assist Police

Project Implementation Method

Our proposed project is completely based on OpenCv code, using python therefore it will supported by a web page which shows us the outcomes about captured image of number plate of the particular vehicle. Furthermore that can used as a query to identification of a defaulter . All the data will be stored in database along with the details of the owners . “Even more our system automatically make the efficient  and fast more approach of Fast-Moving vehicles, by cost-effective techniques and achieving great results”  . 

In this step Passive infrared (PIR) sensor will identify the moving vehicle. After the detection the PIR sensor will send the input signal to the Raspberry Pi in result it will trigger the USB camera.

Second step is quite difficult as compare to first one. In this step Raspberry Pi is used to receiving the input signal to capture the image of the vehicle. Therefore capturing image of fast moving car in real time. The image is captured in RGB (red, green, blue) color model.

In this step we will try to improve and enhance the quality of the image for further progress and good results.in this step many obstacle can be occur and can be solved out by the preprocessing technique, That can be background subtraction, enhancing contrast, sharpening or smoothing and noise removal. moreover RGB is converted into gray colour.at least 8 bits required for RGB to be converted in to gray format.

This is the most important and crucial step in this VPN system, in this step number plate detection searches the particular space or image taken where exactly the number is located. After this system will create a OpenCv—Open source Computer Vision that is further used to convert meaningless data from images captured on a camera into information on the Raspberry.

This step is used to crop out the desire part of the number plate or specific parts. And used to partition images into meaningful information (into individual characters) in order to get properly identify each it involves isolating the image

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our Project will be able to detect the particular vehicles who violate the traffic system and allow to captured the number plate of that specific vehicle, more ever alert or inform the authorities about the violations and send the email of that vehicle also to authorities.
