Intelligent Home Automated system is an idea to make home appliances act smartly and autonomously to control the home remotely using an android application. Intelligent Home Automated system is proposed to control all the appliances remotely using Android-based user interface or locally without the internet. The main goal of this work is to use deep learning and image processing to make system more secure and comprehensively implement in economy yet efficient way to do this. Raspberry Pi-4 model B is used as the main part of the system. As it is a powerful computer and supports the latest web technologies and databases, there are a lot of potential scopes for expanding the project and integrate more features very easily and effectively.

Basically we are bringing deep learning and IOT together in this system. The focus of this technology is to make home make more secure and effort free and to control the household equipment’s like Light, Fan, Door,AC etc automatically. In this project we are making power saving environment when there will be no human detection in the room the appliances will be turned off making the system more power efficient. A remotely accessible environment is an environment in which each home appliances can be remotely accessed and controlled using a software as an interface.

This android based system will allow us to control the lights and fan on/off, we can control the room temperature with the help of smart heat sensors. we can open or close our door by face recognition to make more secure and convenient and also we are using Home surveillance and motion detection with the Raspberry Pi. we are using Motion sensors to make light on and off by detecting any motion in the room and houseAl technology is also used in smart home products. For easy understanding, we defined six core clusters of AI functions in smart homes, i.e., activity recognition, data processing, voice recognition, image recognition, decision-making, and prediction-making. In the aspect of activity recognition, smart home devices can recognize human activity with the help of AI. It analyzes sensor data to detect people’s actions and raises an alarm if there is abnormal activity. Activity recognition is used in Hive Link and Essence Care Home. In the aspect of data processing, AI is based on data analysis techniques, extracting information from a variety of data sources and identifying intrinsic relationships. It is used in August Smart Lock + Connect and Nest Protect.

Project Implementation Method

1. Remote Access by Android Application.

User must be able to access and control the home appliances remotely through an android application. This will also include the monitoring of current states of the appliances on the android interface. User can turn ON/OFF all the appliances and modes using this basic functionality

The android application communicates with raspberry-pi over a socket connection. As long as the hardware integration is done, the android development will be done in parallel to see the effects and testing. This functionality will be continuously dependent on hardware integration for the whole project time, because hardware will give the real time response to the development done on the android application.

1. Turn OFF/ON light  and Fan.

The user will be able to turn ON and OFF the Power-saver mode. This mode will allow the raspberry-pi to automatically control the home devices. Raspberry-pi will take input from sensors and decides the presence of human body in the room and then Turn ON or OFF the devices accordingly. This will save energy consumption making the system energy efficient

3    Open and Close Door Locks by face recognition:

User can unlock door by face recognition. we are using deep learning  technique for recognize face through encodings of face.

4    Home surveillance and motion detection:

Our motion detection system a little more robust so that it can run continuously throughout the day and not be (as) susceptible to lighting condition changes.

5    Human activity detection for smart home:

In this we detect the activities of human and can use it for many useful purposes like for healthcare and suspicious activity recognition.

Benefits of the Project

This product will serve as a convenience and comfort in the daily human life so that we can use our energies positively in some productive manner and save the time. The rapid advancement of the internet of things (IOT), life is getting easier and simpler in all aspects. At present world, automatic systems are being favored over the manual system. Today’s world automation has become an inseparable part of ordinary households and subjects to constant evolution.  IOT is a growing network of conventional object- from industry to consumer that can share information and complete jobs while you are involved with other activities. This Intelligent automated system can help to have a centralized method to control all home appliances. In this system a cost-effective system is proposed to achieve such automation system based on IOT concept. All the devices of this system are connected to Raspberry Pi. The proposed system also provides a facility to control all home appliances locally without the internet via a local network or Bluetooth. Raspberry Pi runs a web server to host a web -based control interface and a SQL database to maintain the current status of appliances and also connect third party API’s.The interface can be accessed through the internet or locally without the internet. Besides our automatic re-start mechanism makes the system more efficient.

 The hardware is controlled remotely by an android application. The main objective of this project is to develop a home automation system using a Raspberry-Pi and Arduino remotely controlled by an Android OS smart phone. As technology is advancing so houses are also getting smarter. Modern houses are gradually shifting from conventional switches to centralized control system, involving remote controlled switches. Presently, conventional wall switches located in different parts of the house make it difficult for the user to go near them to operate. Even more difficult for the elderly or physically handicapped people to do so. Remote controlled home automation system provides a most modern solution with smart phones. We are creating an android application instead of any remote for automation because every person has their personal android phone and they can easily control their home appliances and security system for their home, and sometimes remote device is misplaced or destroyed. Another reason is that remote device is hard to carry when you are outside from home but your personal phone is always with you. So user can easily control home automation appliances and security-based system through one Application through their android mobile phone. So technology is in your one app. The product is remote controlled and using automation techniques such as sensor technology and improve them with deep learning techniques, it will be made self-automated so that it can take input from sensors and act accordingly when power saving mode is turned on.
