Project Summary

Fire disaster can occur anytime, anywhere and can cause unsustainable damage. In order to stop the fire from causing damage, fire extinguisher is used. It is risky to stop the fire as it spreads rapidly and sometimes during the operation human constrains must be taken into account. Due to this, sometimes the operation for the fire extinguishing takes time and the high level risk at the operation site as there might be explosive materials, human being cannot go to certain locations. In order to overcome this problem, we can use a robot/vehicle which can be controlled by voice/clicking pad or through smartphones. Such type of robot/vehicle can perform these tasks that human being cannot perform easily.

Now these days, robotic technology is growing very fast and is getting very useful in performing difficult tasks. This technology can be used to perform the difficult and risky tasks which human being cannot perform easily.

Project Objectives

  • To design an intelligent fire detector and fire extinguisher vehicle which can be operated by voice or through clicking pad, etc.
  • An intelligent robot/vehicle which can detect the fire and find the location of fire.
  • A robot/vehicle capable of quick response.
  • A robot capable of differentiating between human being and fire.

Project Implementation Method

A smart and intelligent fire detecting and fire extinguishing robot/vehicle will be designed which will be capable of acting properly under emergency situations. The robot/vehicle will be able to detect the fire through sensors and will start moving towards the emergency site. The ultrasonic sensor will help the robot/vehicle to avoid obstacles on the way. The robot/vehicle will have PIR sensor (heat/body temperature) and gas sensor (carbon dioxide) which will help to detect the fire site exact location. Through camera and with the help of PIR sensor (heat/body temperature), the robot/vehicle will be able to find the human being at the operation site. It will be able to differentiate between human being and fire. Through voice/clicking pad (smartphones), the robot/vehicle can also be controlled easily.

The voice/clicking pad (smartphones) signals will be detected by the help of Bluetooth module (HC-05) and clicking pad through Wi-Fi module.

  • Fire detecting vehicle/robot will be help full in finding the human life during the operation.
  • Fire which usually take place at smaller rate can be detected quickly and extinguished without any further damage.
  • It can be used in buildings, schools, offices, etc.
  • By the help of camera, we can get the live images of the operation area easily.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

  • The project will be in a vehicle form which will be able to perform the task of fire extinguishing.
  • It will be easily operated with the help of Bluetooth module. 
  • It will also work with help of clicking pad or smartphone.
  • It can easily be operated by anyone with a little knowledge of it. 
  • The voice sensor will operate through bluetooth module.
  • Clicking pad or Smartphone, it will operate through Wi-fi module.
  • The Servo motor will work both in x-axis and y-axis coordinates so that the water will be sprayed accordingly on the targeted area.
  • The Dc motors will help in the movement of the vehicle.
  • Arduino will be the masterpiece or brain of the whole project which will perform and control all the components connected to it.
