The project aims to acheive the following objectives:-
- Automate the basic celrical tasks of classroom management
- 100% Authentic Attendance wihout proxy
- The histroy of attendance and lectures will be maintained electronically.
- lecture-wise feedback based on behavior and facial expression of the student
- Reduce the workload on teachers to carry and mantain attendance sheets
- Students are able to keep a check on their attendance.
- A dashbaord will be provided to the Head of department to keep the record of attandance and lectures.
The developed project is implemented using the CCTV camera which ic installed in every classroom. The software for the system is developed in Python using dlib and facial recognition API and the online portal for the students is developed in HTML5.
Benefits of the ProjectFollowing are the benefits of project:
- Classrooms will be monitored through AI CCTV cameras.
- Classroom management will be automated.
- Students will be monitored during assignments throught motion detection to ensure that no one leaves the calssroom in the absence of teacher.
- Improved communication between teacher and students
- Credible feedback will be extracted through expression recognition.
- Manage records of lectures and attendance through electronic means
- Students won't be able to mark false proxies.
- Sudents will be more regular and attentive in class.
- Printing cost will be minimzed as attendance sheets will be eliminated.
- Clerical burden will be reduced by a great factor as student registrations are automated.
The final deliverable of our project is an AI based system that automates classroom and student management using the facial recogniton and expression techniques with the help of CCTV cameras.
