The motorcycle will run over batteries and then after this pre-defined limit speed of 25km/hr through ATS the motorcycle will switches to petrol. The switching of these energies would take place through a complete system. For this, the wiring will be there with a proper and appropriate circuit. Automatic engine, the batteries, hub motor and other circuitry system will be fixed in the bike. The hybrid motorcycle will utilize both sources of energies to run which makes it more unique and efficient. It can be compared with the existing system of the motorcycles, which runs at petrol only, and there is no other option is provided, even it consumes more petrol. Hybrid motorcycle will be environmental friendly. Fuel is the major issues of the transport system from decades some can't afford it some people don't find it good for the environment as it pollutes the environment. If the fuel consumption can be reduced in any way it will help out the generation including the industries it will also release their stress. This technology will work and prove itself with its efficiency and effectiveness. Hybrid motorcycle will not emit any smoke and pollution while running over batteries and by using the lithium ion batteries of configuration 48 volts 16 Ampere, we have improved its efficiency more which will help this a lot. The hybrid motorcycle is actually a compromise between the two sources of energies by benefiting all the consumers and industry itself.
Project ObjectivesThe project objective is to design and develop a Hybrid Motorcycle which should be different from the existing system and should provide more facilities to the consumers. It is a very innovative idea and of course an advance technology. The basic purpose of developing this design is to benefit the people and to make their lives more comfortable and reliable hence the bike is fuel efficient so it consumes less fuel which makes it cheaper to use in daily life. It would definitely facilitate the consumers as well as the electronics industry of our country the industry would also be benefited because of this new and advance technology.
Project Implementation Method- Brushless DC Hub Motor Wheel is used for operating of motor in our Hybrid system.
- A BLDC drive controller is used for operating the BLDC hub motor which is of 48 volts.
- Simultaneously a throttle is used with controller to operate the BLDC motor.
- An automatic engine is used for auto conversion of gears and vice versa.
- Arduino is used as a controller which involves in the switching mechanism of our hybrid system.
- A hall effect sensor is added with Arduino to read the pulse of rear wheel which is BLDC hub wheel and give it back to Arduino.
- A 2-relay module is used for switching of motor and engine simultaneously.
Our project Hybrid Bike solving a real life problem which is transportation now a days as poverty increasing it is really difficult for an individual to bear the regular cost of private transport such as bike following are some benefits of our project:
- Reduced fuel cost: As it a battery-assisted vehicle can reduced the cost of fuel as it converted into petrol after speed limit of 25km/hr.
- Fewer emissions: Regular motorcycles produced high amount of toxic gases due to consuming large amount of fuels. Hybrid Motorcycle produce less amount of greenhouse gases which is beneficial for the overall environment.
- Environmental Friendly: It is environment friendly as it consumes less amount of fuel as compared to random motorcycles and also produce less amount of toxic gases in the environment.
- Financial benefits: Rides over random bikes cost more estimation cost as compared to hybrid bike it cost lower in comparison to random motorcycles.
- Beneficial for electronic industries: As this bike is fuel-efficient running on low fuel, one is petrol and the other is the battery, so using the batteries and making it more beneficial for our daily life will benefit the electronic industries in our country as well as the consumers.
Hybrid motorcycle would run over two sources of energies that is petrol and battery. Below the speed of 25km/h the motorcycle would run at batteries through BLDC after this pre-defined speed limit, the ATS would be used to switch from batteries to petrol. Hub engine would begin the methodology of charging batteries through a charging circuit.
