1. Chronic Disease is a major issue now a day in every individual and the reason is lack of physical exercise. Studies have shown that physical inactivity is detrimental to health and normal organ functional capacities
2. Life is so busy these days that people don’t have leisure time to go for physical Exercise in their daily routine. What we are trying to achieve is to create options so people can opt for physical exercise while doing their routine work..
3. That’s exactly what LoPiFit is going to be, a way for people to Exercise i.e Running or walking while travelling to or back from work.
With the given time frame and some other limitations, it has been an important step to declare the base goals and aims in this project. These targets are summarized as following:
Fitting a Treadmill in between a bicycle maintaining the stability of the structure
Connecting the treadmill with the rear wheel using appropriate gears ensuring maximum power transmission with minimum physical input.
Installing a BLDC Motor with the rear wheel for Hybrid features.
Generating power using the treadmill to power up the entire Machine and charge the batteries
Making the Entire Machine Digital and Controllable using Arduino.
To Make the Treadmill Bike user Friendly For Consumers.
It includes the understanding of the following domains:
1. Electric Machine and Motors
2. Linear Control System
3. Charging Mechanism using Mechanical Inputs
4. Arduino Interfacing and Programming
Time is an important commodity now a day and as then world’s getting fast, we need options that won’t require additional time other than the routine schedule. This Hybrid bike can be used by the consumer in their routine life. This way people don’t have to pull some time out from their schedule for physical activities as they can travel to their desired locations while exercising So the Aim is to actually commercialize this Treadmill Bike making sure the product
is cost-effective for the consumers.
In order to identify the essential physical restriction of the gears for maximum power transfer, the team will translate all the parameters into a mathematical representation. The first stage is to calculate the speed and the efficiency of the vehicle. The second stage is to integrate the electrical part in the model and make sure maximum power generation ensuring maximum efficiency. Once these two stages are completed, the team will be accurate in their calculations and we could predict with high precision how the LoPiFit is going to perform the mission. Force analysis, Power analysis, mechanical analysis, cost analysis and etc would be
taken into account.
