Health Analyzer
Nowadays, researches and studies have been conducted regarding embedded devices to monitor changes in human body with respect to their health. Devices can be wearable, insertable, or implantable in the human body to analyse day to day condition of patients have chronic disease such as heart disease, stroke, cancer and type 2 diabetes etc. Therefore, the main focus of this project is to deal with cardiovascular disease which is lethal in case of delay or negligence. We are going to design a wearable along with mobile application for the continues monitoring of the patient and notify the caretaker without any delay to avoid unfortunate condition. Further, applying data analysis techniques on patient's reading to predict the future possibility of heart stroke.
Moreover, the wearable will be connected to mobile application through Bluetooth. Wearable will consist of heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen level sensor. Application will receive user’s readings. If user’s reading will not be within normal range, application will recommend nearest hospital to user based on their location. If user is in a condition that they can be treated at home, so application will provide precautions and exercises.
According to WHO, Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) take the lives of 17.9 million people every year, 31% of all global deaths. Triggering these diseases – which manifest primarily as heart attacks and strokes.
In a 2005 survey, most respondents 92% recognized chest pain as a symptom of a heart attack. Only 27% were aware of all major symptoms and knew to call emergency when someone was having a heart attack.
A wearable will be manufactured using heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen level sensors. The application will receive these readings and will perform analysis.
If the readings of the user are not within normal range then the application will recommend hospital based on the person’s condition.
The health analyzer project will meet the following objectives:
The wearable will be made using the sensors. The application will be connected to the wearable via Bluetooth. Application will analyze user’s heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen. Application will be connected to guardian of the user through cloud. If readings are not within normal range, application will notify guardian of the user and based on the location of the user the application will recommend nearest hospitals. If guardian wants to use ambulance service, then application will provide details about ambulance services.
If user’s readings are not really severe, and user can be given first aid at home then the application will suggest precautions and exercises to them.
Heart patients needs continuous monitoring. They should be treated immediately before their condition gets worse. Our application will record their readings and notify the guardian in case of any emergency so that they can be treated immediately by providing nearest hospital and ambulance details. If user is in a condition that they can be treated at home, so application will provide precautions and exercises.
Wearable will have three sensors, heart rate sensor, blood pressure and blood oxygen level. Also, the data analysis techniques. Wearable will be connected to application via wireless connectivity.
Website will have two options, select doctor according to their respective department and select hospital accordings to towns.
