Guidance and monitoring system for AU Parking I
Project Area of Specialization Wearables and ImplantableProject SummaryGuidance and monitoring system for AU Parking will be a Parrking management system. Barriers will be installed on the entries and exits of the parking zones along with sensors to detect the incoming vehicle. The information will be displayed on a dot matrix display installed at the main gate of the university. An app will also be developed at which the routes (to be taken) will be available. Beside this, we are intending to install range finders which will allow the drivers to correctly park their vehicles in the parking slots.
This system will be installed in three parking zones of the university. The incomming car will be detected and and the barrires will get opened and simultaneously the count will be updated on the display.
Project ObjectivesOur objective is to facilitate the drivers to go into the specific poarking zones with space available in minimum possible time.
Project Implementation MethodImplementation will be done on three parking zones.
The options available for car detection are
1) Image processing
2) Laser Sensors along with Metal detectors
Processing:
1)Pic micro ControllersDisplay:
2)Zigbee modules (for communication)
Display:
Dot Matrix Display (Self Designed Hardware and Software)
Benefits of the Project1) Traffic Load Management
2) Check And Balance Of No. of Cars
3) To facilitate Drivers in finding parking place
Technical Details of Final DeliverableFinal Deliverable will be a sophisticated and Implemented Parking System that will be able to withstand harsh weather conditions and will be a system of product level.
