Gesture Control Smart Grass Cutter
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe sun has been the major source of energy for life on earth. The solar energy was being used directly for purposes like drying clothes, curing agricultural produce, preserving food articles, etc. Even today, the energy we originate from fuel-wood, petroleum, paraffin, hydroelectricity and our food originates obliquely from sun. The total energy we obtain from the sun far exceeds our energy demands. Ever since the industrial revolution’s human have been dependent on fuels, electricity and wind energy. For human development in many countries there is study and trials are going on the Solar energy and the wind energy. We are propsoing our novel solar powered grass cutting machine where we cut grass on the agricultural land or on small plants in lawns and gardens. Gesture controlled grass cutter can be described as the application of Radio frequency to power a machine on which electric motor rotates which in turn rotates a blade which does the mowing of a grass.
Project ObjectivesThe main aim of this project is to develop a solar powered Gesture Control Smart Grass Cutter system which will helps to mows the lawn with lesser human effort. Advantages of this system are
- Easy to move from one place to another place
- Compact size and portable
- Easy to move from one place to another place
- Operating principle is simple.
- Non-skilled person also operates this machine.
- Disable person can also operate
- Enabling very young children to interact with technology.
- Use For Play Grounds(Cricket, Football grounds etc.),Parks, Nurseries
- No fuel Consumption.
- No Pollution.
The whole project is divided into 2 sections: one is transmitter section and another is receiver section. The transmitter section consists of one Arduino Uno, one 3-axis accelerometer and one RF transmitter module. The receiver section includes RF receiver module, one motor drives IC. Here two separate 12 volt power supply is applied to the both sections. The central goal of the project is to implement a system through which the user can give commands to smart cutter using gesture. Finally, the Arduino Uno takes the analog output values and convert analog value to the respective digital value. The digital values are processed by Arduino Uno and send to the RF transmitter which is received by the Receiver and is processed at the receiver end which drives the motor to a particular direction. The robot moves forward, backward, right and left.
Benefits of the Project- Easy to move from one place to another place
- Compact size and portable
- Easy to move from one place to another place
- Operating principle is simple.
- Non-skilled person also operates this machine.
- Disable person can also operate
We are going to deliver a Gestures control smart Grass cutter with attached components
The details of the proposed components are:
Arduino/Genuino: Arduino/Genuino boards senses the environment by receiving inputs from many sensors, and affects their surroundings by controlling lights, motors, and other actuators
Arduino Nano: The Arduino Nano is a small, complete, and breadboard-friendly board based on the ATmega328P
HC-05 Bluetooth module: is an easy to use Bluetooth SPP (Serial Port Protocol) module, designed for transparent wireless serial connection setup
Accelerometer: The MPU 6050 is a 6 DOF (degrees of freedom) or a six-axis IMU sensor, which means that it gives six values as output: three values from the accelerometer and three from the gyroscope.
DC-Motors: Rotate the wheel and cutter
Rubber wheel: Move the machine one place to another
Motor Driver: L293D is a typical Motor driver or Motor Driver IC which allows DC motor to drive on either direction
12V Battery:
Solar panel: to charge the batteries
Charger: to increase the voltage coming from solar panel
