Project Summary

The proposed antenna has hybrid geometry and is constructed using circular and two rectangular driven patches with two semi-circular parasitic patches fed by stepped impedance microstrip line. In this work, we increase the bandwidth by increasing the  electromagnetic coupling between the patches. By changing the geometry of the patches and by adding slots we will further improve the bandwidth and gain of antenna.

  • Compatible antenna for 5G applications.
  • To improve the data rates and mobility range for 5G communication with the help of antenna.
  • Designing a 5g antenna with better gain and return loss.
  • Bandwidth should be high.

Project Implementation Method

1)Data collection: It includes data collection about all the frequencies recommended for antennas working in 5G communication systems.

2) Analysis: It includes analytical and qualitative studies of all antennas for which we have collected data.

3) Manipulation: It includes making an efficient model formation by manipulating all the parameters.

4) Trial and Testing: This process ensures that model behaves as intended.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

In this work, a simulkation of super compact parasitic patch loaded radiating system configuration are proposed for 5G mm-wave applications. The proposed prototype's impedance bandwidth and radiation characteristics are enhanced by incorporating two semicircular-shaped parasitic patches. The antenna exhibits good voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), high gain, uniform radiation pattern and almost constant radiation efficiency over a wide range of frequencies.
