Summary
The main theme of this project is to make the power distribution system more effective by the means of flexibility in the transmission line. The purposed idea helps to enhance the power quality using “TSR” in case of no load or the low load on the receiving end the voltage increases due to the capacitance in the transmission line due to this the electrical equipment’s can be easily damaged to overcome this problem this purposed idea help to make the flexibility in the power transmission line.
Introduction
There are many methods which are normally used for the flexible ac transmission including the TSR,SVC,SCR and others the main methodology behind all these techniques is to improve the power quality of the any electrical system.
In case of TSR we noticed that in case of the low load on the receiving end there is a massive increase in the voltage level due to this there are chances of the breakdown of the electrical system and the appliance. The purposed ideas make the intelligent system which adds the Reactors in parallel manners with the transmission lines in case of high voltage on the receiving end. The power quality of the system is also increased due to this system and the chances of electrical failure will be low.

FACTS are AC(alternating current) transmission systems that combines electric & other fixed controls to increase stabilization & maximize capabilities of transmission of power. Basically, FACTS concept is based on the real or considerable incorporation of electric power devices and procedure into the H.V(high voltage) side of network, to make it controllable electrically.
Basically, purpose of FACTS controllers is to increase the controlling of flow of power on the H.V(high voltage side) of system during both stable and transitory states. In “1988 Dr. N. Hingorani gave the idea of FACTS i.e theory of control of absolute network ” [1]. FACTS receives due to the many economic and technical advantages it promised
Statement of the Problem
The power quality in our country is very poor due to the poor power quality the Voltage between the sending and the receiving ends are vary according to the Distance. The purposed hardware helps us to make the Flexibility in the Ac power Transmission using thyristor switched Reactor to reduce the Ferranti effect in the Transmission line to increase the Power Quality of the system.
Aim of Study
The main aim of this study is to make the Flexibility in the Transmission system. The Thyrister controlled Reactor is the automatic system which make the system and reduce the Ferranti Effect of the System.
1. "Regulation of power flows according to controlled conditions in outhorized transmission
paths"
2 . "Safe activation of T.L(transmission lines) near to max limit of thermal process"
3 . "By contributing to emergency control, preventing cascading outages."
4 . "Damping oscillations capable of threatening protection or reducing available line power"
