FIRE FIGHTING DRONE

Firefighting is traditionally done using firemen and fire engine. Later, it was modified to firefighting robots. Fire Fighting Robots were controlled by Computers. Our work aims to manage and provide a solution for firefighting, employing a fire extinguisher and any such mechanism fitted on a Drone.

Project Summary

Firefighting is traditionally done using firemen and fire engine. Later, it was modified to firefighting robots. Fire Fighting Robots were controlled by Computers. Our work aims to manage and provide a solution for firefighting, employing a fire extinguisher and any such mechanism fitted on a Drone. Firefighting is harmful job that invariably places the life of a hearth fighter at risk. By putting a fire- fighter drone to perform this task in an inaccessible fire-prone area, it can aid to avoid and/or prevent untoward incidents or the loss of lives. This work describes the development of a firefighting Drone equipped with the fighting instrumentation that may be required to be mounted on it. In literature we've found this as a gap no such try has been created. Fire Fighter Drone is designed for usage in extreme conditions. Firefighting drone is an underdeveloped, if drones are used in firefighting it will be more helpful to put off the fire. Fighting a raging hearth is one of the toughest uphill battles within the public – Safety World. Fire fighters try to put off the fire with very little information, having neither idea of the size and scope of the fire nor assumption of victimization, that may be cut off from rescue. In order to overcome this issue aerial vehicles or Drones are used for getting better information and better view. It is operated and controlled by remote user and has the portability and flexibility to extinguish flames. It is designed to be control with a monitoring system and its components communicate in wireless mode.

Project Objectives

  • To detect the fire, and fire surveillance.
  • Reduce the human efforts of human labor and level of destruction.
  • Design and development of low cost fire fighting drone.
  • To ensure a safe fire fighting system without risks of lives.
  • To reach at sky scrapers and narrow streets to extinguish fire.

Project Implementation Method

In this project we aim to implement hexa drone carbon fiber frame  with landing gears , to increase the lifting capacity of drone and for high flying  agriculture 6215 brushless motor which are used for weight lifting drone, to extinguish the fire at narrow streets and sky scrapers, and integrating gripper with drone to grip the pipe and also using servo motor to change the direction of water nozzle, for fire surveillance we are using thermal camera for sense the intensity of fire, also using ordinary camera for target location, we are using controller APM 2.8 to control the drone. 

Benefits of the Project

It can reach at maximum height at which cranes can not reach,

very small response time

fire fighters can operate this from distance so no risk of fighters life .

Tt can lift up to 15kg.

Endless battery time because we are giving supply to drone from ground , the wire will attetch with pipe.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

our drone is capable to reach at maximum height with payload (water pipe) for extinguish fire , because of its agriculture brush less motors it can lift up to 15 kg  , with the help of thermal camera it can detect the intensity of fire , the 8 channel controller APM 2.8 will ensure the stability of drone , the servo motor will be connect with the base of drone integrated with gripper which grips the pipe for fire fighting.
