Project Summary

since the world has been shifting to green energy(lesser environmental  impact) utilities and is trying to use renewable energy therefore We are working on designing and fabrication of a system producing hydrogen gas employing solar energy(pv panel as renewable energy) as the Energy input source.This project is specifically inclined towards cheaper and utmost production of hydrogen gas which will then be used in FUEL CELL to produce Electricity.hence a cheaper and safer production of hydrogen gas will be acheived.

Project Objectives

There are 3 fundamental objectives of our project.

1) Cheaper production of hydrogen gas 

2) Replace electricity as input to carry out the process and to use solar power as the alternative.

3) Abundant quantity of Hydrogen gas.

Project Implementation Method

Actually the project would require certain steps of operation,but the most important factor on which the whole production depends is the ELECTROLYZER,in which electrolysis will be carried out,we are specifically working on Uni Polar Electrolizer,in which hydrogen will be produced,there are obviously various other methods to produce hydrogen gas that includes Coal gasification,steam methanol,steam hydrocarbon and other liquifaction processes.but all these methods require high investments therefore we opted for a cheaper production method.

Benefits of the Project

The main task is to produce cheaper and abundant hydrogen gas that has many benefitss.

1) Hydrogen at first is an environmental impact free gas.

2) it can be used in AUTOMOBILES,LOCOMOTIVES,AIRCRAFTS, and other means of transport,even toyota has manufactured an automibile TOYOTA MIRAI which is a fully hydrogen based car.

3) since hydrogen gas can be used to produce electricity therefore its benefits are never ending.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The project would require a solar panel,a dc invertor,an electrolyzer,an storage tank and some related auxiliaries.Actually to be more precise,we need to produce 50 litres hydrogen gas which requires 13.6 amp of current for 8hours, and 13.6 amp current can be produced via atleast 3 440watt pv panel.
