Project Title

Finance record manager application

Project Area of Specialization Software EngineeringProject Summary

Our application finance record manager is about how to calculate journal, ledger, trial balance, income statement, owner equity and balance sheet. Also our application consists of multiple windows entries, journal, ledger, trial balance, income statement, owner equity and balance sheet. Each of these windows perform their own tasks. In first step user will enter all the input like assets, liabilities, revenues, income and expenses. When user give all these inputs they are processed to the journal window. We can see all the input/data in journal by clicking on journal button. Also journal window consists of menu that has different function like update, delete, clear, new and searching data etc. In
second step data that is collected in journal which are then fetched to the second window which is ledger. In ledger all the data that we fetched from journal are sorted on the basis of types. In third step we calculate the trial balance from the data we fetched from ledger window and then we sort it again on the basis of description. In fourth step we calculate the income statement from the input that contain revenue, income and expenses. After calculating income statement, we know that how much profit or loss we have. In fifth step we calculate the owner equity from the inputs which are owner capital, amount, income types and subtotal calculated from them. In last step we calculate the balance sheet from asset, liabilities and revenues by their formulas and also the subtotal collected from the input. Our application consists of all these process that consist of these steps that we have discussed above and all these process are based on accounting life cycle. With help of this application all these
statements will be calculated easily.

Project Objectives

Here is the purpose of our project, that we will develop an application for the Finance Department of our university that will process automatically the given input, and the user will get output (Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance, Income Statement, Owner Equity) he wants, Just from a click.Secure

Project Implementation Method

Implementation
This chapter covers the project design phase.
2.2 Design
For every enterprise product two key terms of design are very Important. They are
(a) User Interface
A user interface (UI) is the space where interactions between humans and machines occur. The
goal of this interaction is to allow effective operation and control of the machine from the human end, while the machine simultaneously feeds back information that aids the operators' decision?making process. Examples of this broad concept of user interfaces include the interactive aspects of computer operating systems, hand tools, heavy machinery operator controls, and process controls. The design considerations applicable when creating user interfaces are
related to, or involve such disciplines as, ergonomics and psychology.Generally, the goal of user interface design is to produce a user interface which makes it easy, efficient, and enjoyable (user-friendly) to operate a machine in the way which produces the desired result (i.e. maximum usability). This generally means that the operator needs to provide
minimal input to achieve the desired output, and also that the machine minimizes undesired outputs to the user.
(b) Backend Programming
Backend is the code supporting the front end (responsible for database access).in simple term application front end is what you see (the user interface) and application backend is the application engine that you do not see. The backend is the code supporting that front end (responsible for database
access. For efficient implementation, to increase user acceptance both these two are important.
