EHR SERVICE PROVIDER (EHRSP) is an enterprise software system that automates hospitals. Through publisher subscribe model, any hospital can register themselves and can subscribe the services of EHR service provider. It automate all the business activities of hospitals including Staff, Doctor and Patient, including online appointments, Patient and Doctor Visit’s automation, insurance claims etc. EHR-SP provides all this automation as a service under the Service Oriented Architecture SOA using Web Services non-Restful Web API. Moreover it is a generic solution to all Medical Institutes (clinics, hospitals etc.) that provides an automation as a service according to their common business needs.

Project Objectives

1. EHR-SP is based on the concept of automating all the business activities of hospitals including Staff, Doctor and Patient, online appointments, Patient and Doctor Visit’s automation and insurance claims etc.

2. EHR-SP provides all this automation as a service under the Service Oriented Architecture SOA using Web Services non-Restful Web API. Moreover it is a generic solution to all Medical Institutes (clinics, hospitals etc.) that provides an automation as a service according to their common business needs.

3. The system manages the insurance claims. This is the feature where all the insurance companies’ details would be managed. Moreover all the system generated insurance claims of patients would also going to be managed here such as pending for approval, confirmed by insurance company, blocked by Insurance Company, etc. This task comes under staff role Accountant.
4. The system shows hospital data analytics: This is the feature where all the statistical data related to healthcare activities would be represented in the form of charts such as bar, line and pie charts. It includes total patient admissions, financial performance, total doctors, most common disease etc. These analytics would improve care coordination and improve level of service hospital can provide.

Benefits of the Project

The aim of developing EHR system is to store data accurately and to capture the state of a patient across time.

It eliminates the need to track down a patient's previous paper medical records and assists in ensuring data is accurate and legible.

It can reduce risk of data replication as there is only one modifiable file, which means the file is more likely up to date, and decreases risk of lost paperwork.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

1. The system would be platform independent.
2. Hardware requirements:

• Computer: This system will operate on PC of doctors of registered hospital, staff members, and end users.
• Smart Phones: The registered doctors and general users must have smart phones having android operating system.
