In Pakistan, the traditional voting system is chaotic There is a chance of rigging and dispute between different political parties, which will result in uncertain situations for the country. Our initiative is to Introduce the Decentralize Online Voting System through facial recognition in the country, which will help the election commission for avoiding rigging, bogus results, disputes, and uncertain situations. Our project uses artificial intelligence for Facial recognition of the voters, verifying it by NADRA database, which will make it more secure and there will be less chance of rigging, and the bogus result, then the voters can cast their votes easily. Our system minimizes the labor work of staff and uses less capital than the traditional voting system. It reduces the traditional voting steps, which will take a short time to cast the vote for each person. It provides real-time counting by database sharing and mapping in different regions by using a time stammer of every 1 hour that will result in no delay in the election result.

Project Objectives

Our project objective is to make voting easy, secure, less time consuming and effective.

  1. To design the system for election commission based on regions which will be decentralized.
  2. Face recognition will be used to cast the vote.
  3. The system has capability of real-time counting of votes.
Project Implementation Method
  1. Development of Front-End:

First the designing and selecting layout for admin panel, a landing page, voter’s panel. The Development of this section includes the components such as the layout for a login page for admin with validation, analytical dashboard, development of statistical charts voter’s panel every form and component will be developed using react.JS.

  1. Development of Back-End:

Includes the identification of the requirements of the system and the Functionality/ behavior of the system, the analysis of the identified functionalities which will determine the flow of system, the development of logics, functions and algorithms to make sure the identified functionalities are enabled which includes decentralization, facial recognition, and real-time counting smooth and easy flow.

Benefits of the Project

The reduction in organizational and implementation costs significantly increases the efficiency of election management compared to traditional paper voting. There will be no supply costs no paper, no postage and no printing, just cast your vote by facial recognition. Our system is easy and efficient takes only a minute or two to vote. There will be no doubling of votes. No delay/waiting for counting of results, there will be faster counting and delivering of election results. 100% friendly interface - not a single tree is harmed in this easy-to-use electronic voting process.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

DECENTRALIZED SYSTEM:

Our project is Decentralized Online Voting System. For decentralization we are using time-stamp server after every one hour the data is to be sent to the other nodes(regions).

FACIAL RECOGNITION:

For the secure system we are using the facial recognition for the verification of the voter from the NADRA database.

REAL-TIME COUNTING:

 For the real time counting we will be using real-time database system.
