Detection and Monitoring of Forest Fire using Patrolling Drone
Forest fires occur every year and are considered very extensive in view of small size of the forest. However no qualitative data on the occurrence of forest fires in the country is available for the formulation of a strategy.
Drones are really common these days which are mostly utilized for the photography purposes but making it useful for a healthy environment is the outcome of this project.
The main purpose is to detect a forest fire in its earliest stage possible by implementing a surveillance system. Moreover, this surveillance system consists of a patrolling drone that will use the technique of image processing for a specific area i.e. forest.
•Project is software as well as hardware based. So, first we completed the literature review and then started working on it.
•At start , our main focus was the selection of apparatus
•After that we selected the model numbers of each components.
• Model number was selected on the basis of availability in market and to meet our project requirements.
•Microprocessor is Raspberry PI-4
•Drone will be designed on the basis of apparatus assembling
