A solar concentrator in the form of parabola is used in the project which reflect all sun rays on a reciever raise the temperature of fluid inside it and convert it into steam. that steam is used in the turbine and again reused in the reciever after condensing in the condensor .
Project Objectives
To develop a cost effective solar thermal power plant which is capable of producing 2Kw power.The whole system include a solar concentrator, heat exchanger, condensor, superheater, turbine, alternator. The solar concentrator is a parabolic trough made of highly reflective material and a reciever, all the sun rays incident on the concentrator are reflected back to receiver and they raise temperature of the fluid inside it convert it into steam. the steam is then use to run the turbine which run the alternator and produces electricity. the ,ain objective of this project is to produce electricity with minimum losses and low cost.
