Design and implementation of virtual reality for video calling
Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryVirtual reality is an artificial environment that is created with software and presented to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and accepts it as a real environment. On a computer, virtual reality is primarily experienced through two of the five senses: sight and sound. 360-degree VR (360-degree virtual reality) is an audiovisual simulation of an altered, augmented or substituted environment that surrounds the user, allowing them to look around them in all directions, just as they can in real life. 360-degree VR can be used for many purposes other than entertainment. The virtual reality technology can be used in most kinds of training that involve a physical environment, including pilot and driver training (as well as actual piloting or driving), surgery, and undersea and space exploration via remote-control robots. Now a days the virtual reality exist for pictures and videos. Now we are introducing a unique idea by using virtual reality for the video calling. Many people streams Virtual Reality streaming but they are using it manually through the remote or through their hands so we are adding here an advance feature, there will be no need of remote for moving the camera. The user can easily rotate the camera movement of the end user (RX user receiver).
Project Objectives- The main objective is to improve the pre-installed systems.
- Camera will move with the movement of the transmitter side person instead of using remote or manually.
- The objective is to link TX and Rx by Wi-Fi at using direct connection portable mobile and receiver end.
Our project is about the 360? virtual reality video calling device. The methodology is:
A camera or a portable device (mobile or any other camera) is connected with two motors one for x-axis and other for y-axis which is connected with the controller and on the transmitter side the user will having a Virtual glasses trough which he will be controlling the camera which will be installed on the other side. When the transmitter side person move’s this device the camera will move automatically accordingly. Where Wi-Fi at direct link will be used for data transmission LDR will be used to detotal darkness and turn on IR.
Benefits of the Project- Can be used in meetings.
- Can also be used for live streaming.
- Teachers can also use to deliver their lecture.
- Can be used in real time video games.
- Can be used by lawyer and Doctor.
