Design and fabrication of 4 way catalytic converter
We are designing a Four way catalytic convertor for a Diesel Engine. As we know that diesel engine gives out harmful gases ( Carbon monoxide, Hydrocarbons, Nitrogen oxide, Soot and Particulates) so to over come these harmful gases we introduce a four way catalytic convertor that remove these gases and perform oxidation and reduction reaction that turns carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide to nitrogen and also removes the soot and particulates which are actually Amorphous Carbon. We are introducing a new honey comb structure means in 3 way there are 3 honey comb but we are using 4 way having 4 honey comb structure and we are using chemicals ( Aluminium oxide, Titanium Dioxide and Nickel Oxide) that removes these harmful gases. We are getting advantages of this project that they are making environment pollution free by removing hazardious gases and in future we can implement this technique to make our environment pollution free.
The main objective of our project is to develop a catalytic convertor that can remove these toxic gases emitted from diesel engine and make them less toxic or harmful by carrying out oxidation and reduction reaction. Morover we are using chemicals that react with these toxic gases removing hazardious gases, soots and particulates.Our objective is to make it in less cost, we want it to be cost effective and control pollution that is deplecting our ozone layer and making our environment pollutant.
We are implementing our project by following the method that we are going to develop a catalytic convertor that will be holding 4 honey comb structure in them. Now we are going to make a feasible solution of these chemicals according to our catalytic convertor volume then we are going to develop portions of these chemicals and then apply them on these honey comb structure that reacts with emitted gases from engine and produce oxidation reduction reaction and removing toxic content from these gases making them less harmful for the environment.
Benefits of project are that we are going to making environment pollution free by removing hazardious gases emitted from diesel engine and making this project cost effective so that everyone one can afford this and apply this to there cars to make them pollution free environment.
We are using a diesel engine that we have seperately bought for our project. Further more we attach radiator that keeps engine cool attach with fuel tank and battery. Battery gives power to start and fuel tank is to ignite to make engine run. We have developed a test bench for our diesel engine.
We have also bought a 4 way catalytic convertor that we will be using to remove soot and particulates followed by the harmful gases. Chemicals portion are developed by us that will be coated on honey comb structure so that the emitted gses passes through it making them less harmful.
