Design and Development of Cooling Technologies For Solar Panels
As there are many technologies are used to cool the solar panel but the most efficient way to cool the solar panel is through using Fins and PCM(Phase Change Material) Based Cooling technique. By cooling the solar panel, we can increase its efficiency and also increase its life span.
As the temperature of solar panel increases its electrical efficiency decreases because due to increasing in resistance of electrons and decreasing the bandgap of semiconductor hence, voltage decreases and it will reduce the panel efficiency. The Optimum temperature of solar Panel is 25?.
Fins and PCM are used to cool the solar panel as the PCM absorb the heat from panel and it changes the phase from solid to liquid and by emit the heat in the night and change to solid phase. Fins also contribute to cool the solar panel and it also used to remove the heat from PCM to the environment and it helps the PCM to absorbs more heat from solar panel.
The main objective of this project is to increase its electrical efficiency and make it more reliable.

There is no doubt that initial Cost of this project’s setup is higher than simple Solar Panel Setup, but in the long run, our studies have proved that it will be more efficient and productive regarding both Cost and Electricity.
In our project, we are implemented the new technology to improve the solar panels efficiency and increase its life span.
