Design and Analysis of 50KgF thrust gas turbine engine
Modern transportation relies heavily on internal combustion engines, including gas turbines. Improved gas turbine engine performance would go a long way toward reducing global annual fossil fuel consumption. As a result, numerous fields within aviation have placed a high premium on gas turbine modelling and simulation in order to optimise their performance. According to this study, researchers are currently working on improving the performance of gas turbine propulsion systems and determining whether or not they would be suitable for use as propulsion systems for small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). To meet the 50kgf thrust requirement, the on-going study will first analyse the turbojet engine using the gas turbine performance analysis software GasTurb, and then design and analyse the compressor in Ansys to achieve the desired results.
The project objectives include:
1. Analysis of Engine Using GasTurb
2, Designing of compressor and its analysis using Ansys CFX
3. Fabrication of Compressor

This project is based on the analysis of engine using different software. GasTurb will be used to analyse the different parameters of engine and then designing of compressor would be done. Furthermore, the compressor will be analyzed using Ansys Fluent. This engine can be used for small UAVs. UAVs have found a widespread application in both civil and military airspace. They are increasingly used for reconnaissance in dangerous area, rescue operations, meteorological monitoring, fish finding, power line maintenance, survey and inspection of various sites.
The final delieverables include Engine thrust analysis using GasTurb software annd then design and analyzing of Compressor using Ansys CFX. The CAD Model of compressor made is shown below

In the last, this compressor will be fabricated and then testing of engine will be carried out using different techniques.
