Design a Hexapod Spider Robot for surveillance
Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryThe purpose of this project is to design a prototype of a hexapod robotic system. Nowadays tasks in which human presence may be avoided are increasing, such as work which imply a great danger and, consequently, very strict security rules (e.g. some of the work carried out in nuclear power-plants), and activities which occur in places where the human being can hardly get . Nevertheless, robotic systems can be used in other fields as well. In order to reduce or avoid the human element it is essential to design and develop mobile robotic systems, which are able to undertake tasks that imply a great deal of danger. Therefore, we choose Hexapod Spider Robot.
Project Objectives1) To design a robot which moves on every type of surface
2) To monitor and surveillance using camera and sensors
3) To remotely control the robot using a hand held device
Project Implementation Method1) Robot contain six moving legs in each legs there is three servo motor to move it on two degree up down and forward backward.
2) It contain a camera which gives the live photage.
3) It contain ultrasonic sensor which report the distance of obstacles.
4) The signal transmitted through wireless module .
Benefits of the Project1) Used in desert areas.
2) Used in stones area.
3) Also easily works in intelligence companies for secure information.
4) It is used in some areas where the wheel robot is not working properly.
(ex; forest area ,soiled area, hills type area,).
Technical Details of Final Deliverable1) The six-legged spider robot is designed based on Arduino UNOR3 and controller is designed based on Arduino Nano
2) The entire system is divided into two parts; the spider robot and the remote controller
3) The communication between them is based on 2.4GHz Wireless Module
4) Working Voltage DC 7V ~ 12V
