Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryA Deep Learning Based Mobile app that will help crystallographers (working in pharmaceutical companies) and reseachers to identify the Protien Crystals. Basically this app will replace an experiment (to identify protien crystals from the mixture) that is done manually till now. Typically, this manual experiment takes about 1.5 hours of a crystallographer. On average GlaxoSmithKline's crystallographers spend 1600 hours per year on this experiment. Our app will identify the protien crystal in just few minutes hence reducing the time and money resources yearly spent by Pharmaceutical companies. Also our app will recommend the conditions to make new Protien Crystals.
Project ObjectivesThe main objective of this project is to help crystallographers and researchers working on new drugs. They spend a lot of time staring at tubes to identify the protien crystals. This project will bring researchers one step closer to discover new drugs.
Project Implementation MethodWe will train a Deep neural network on 493214 Images (almost 47.5 gb Data). This trained neural network will then act as an expert system that will identify the protiens. We will aplly machine learning Model that will also recommend them the conditions to make the new Protien Crystals.
