Project Summary

Chat-ly is a chat application through which people can communicate with each other. It will have different features which will make it unique and distinctive from all the other chatting applications. It will not be like WhatsApp but a lot different from it as it will contain several very unique features that will be integrated with this application, the customers will not have to install applications separately. It is specially developed to reduce the time of the people who would swap between different applications for their uses. It will allow the customer to instant chat, several different services, and a unique feature of sending gifts to surprise someone on their birthdays. there will be a feature for sending gifts to your friends and family through a token that you can buy on the same application and send to your friend, they can then scan that token from any nearest gift shop and can receive their gifts. Other than that, there will be another feature of fund transferring from the same application, there will be no need for customers to download different applications for fund transferring, it will be like a mobile e-wallet that will be integrated with the application. This application will also have a transportation service feature integrated with it like Uber or Careem through which a customer can conveniently book their ride by using the same application.

Project Objectives

The goals and objectives for Chat-ly are to build something unique and special for the people who are busy in their lives and who cannot just keep on installing multiple applications for their use. The main aim is to simplify and integrate unique features of different applications into one application which will make it easy for the users. Installing multiple applications is a necessity which is also, very time-consuming. The vision is to make Chat-ly better by removing the odds which can make it troublesome and by adding some of the unique features which can make it rise. Installing so many applications at a time is very complicated so here we decided to create something new in the form of chat-ly. Chat-ly has 4 features. The very first one is a chatting application you can chat with your loved ones you can call them you can send your pictures as well as can send your videos you can share music, media, and much more. you can not only send media you can also receive all these media. Now we are going to discuss our second feature which is E-wallet. With this feature, you can send or receive money. This feature is working for money transactions so you can send or receive money in a short time. Let’s discuss our third feature which is cab service. Cab service is very much needed nowadays. Because if we want to go anywhere in a short time and also we have no any convenience so we have a good option in the form of cab service. Cab service is just like uber and creem. It will help you to drop off anywhere where you want to go. You will get all these facilities in a just single app. The method of using cab-service is just open up your chatl-ly application and choose the feature of cab-service then check how many rides are available in your route then choose any one ride and then book your desired ride. The fourth and last feature of our app is the Surprise token. This is very much an amazing feature of our app. With this feature, you can send a surprise gift to your loved ones amaze with this feature you just have to follow some steps, just purchase a surprise token from any nearby place where they will give you some options about the prices of surprise token then you have to choose any one or maybe how many you want then send it to your friend. He/she will receive this code and scan it from his/her nearby shop and will get the surprise gift. The receiver will be very happy after receiving his/her surprise gift.

Project Implementation Method

We have used Visual Studio Code for this application development. As for securing the data and information of our customers, we will be using a firebase real-time database. Firebase will also be used for verification of the users and for directions we will be using Google Maps. User Interface is an important component of this project, we have used user-friendly colors and graphics, it is easy to understand and users can perform tasks easily. Attractive graphics are one of the best things about this project. In this era, people are using mobile phones in their lives. So, we have made this project mobile-friendly for the wide usage of this application. Any android with internet access is required for this application to be installed. However, without the internet, no one can use this application.

JavaScript for interactive behavior of pages. The best practice that we have used in this system is that we have written easy code that can be understood without much hustle for any developer. We have also used comments in our coding for its easy understanding as these are some of the attributes of best practices and we are aware of them. For this framework, we will be using GitHub for version controlling so that we can manage changes to source code over time.
