Avion Formula Electric Car
Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryAvion is a Electric Powered Formula Racing Car which is drive by a 3 Phase electric motor of approx. 12000 RPMs and run through a 12volts to 3 Phase converter which converts Battery 12volts to AC 220volts. The top speed of Avion will be expected around 120+ Km/h with the acceleration of 100km/h in less then 4 Sec. The total weight of this car Without driver is Approx. 250kg. The chessy of this car will be made of Seamless round pipes and body of this car will be made of Fiber/Carbon Fiber. Its body is designed aero dynamically to get maximum road grip in speed to avoid misbalancing. Electric vehicles have the potential for noteworthy commitments towards accomplishing the EU's atmosphere assurance objectives in the vehicle area. Nonetheless, the ecological effects of a huge scale presentation of electric vehicles are as yet obscure. This task has created situations for the expanded scattering of electric vehicles in the EU until 2050 and figured arrangement proposals from these discoveries. So as to achieve the long haul EU atmosphere objectives, an extreme decrease of ozone depleting substance emanations in the vehicle division will be essential. In that way, Directorate-General the Climate Activity (DG CLIMA) permit CE Delft, ICF and paleocology Organized to total an examination on the potential impacts of an enormous range showcase entrance of Electric vehicle on the European union, for the attention on traveler combustion engine and illumination trade vehicles. That security incorporates an assessment of both the apparatus portion (for example piece of vehicle naval force) and control generation that gave evaluations and costs, impacts in that well-to-wheel GHG outflows, contamination product, and other natural effects
Project ObjectivesThe main objective of this project is to promote electric cars for pollution free environment and save natural resources like Fuel/ Gas for other purposes. On the other hand project objective is to break the record of Pakistan’s fastest Formula E car which was made by group of students of NUST Karachi Campus in 2016. Their car’s top speed was 120km/h with the acceleration of 100km/h in 4.7 sec. the target is to take part in SAE Formula E Car competition which is held in US every year and win in at least any discipline
Project Implementation MethodThere were several design constraints, including Formula SAE rules, the VMS budget and human resources, the competition deadline in June, and the physical limitations of different components. In considering constraints on subsystem design, a procedure was developed and followed. First, we read the rules and created an outline of the allowed conditions. Second, research was conducted on commercially available solutions. Many components are off-the-shelf parts. For the circuits, there was not usually an off-the-shelf solution, and we had to design and build it. If a solution were available, the time and cost of the component would be considered and compared to a potential version we would build ourselves. If the component could affect the performance in a dynamic event, OptimumLap software modeling was used to simulate changes. Third, we developed a plan for who would design, build, and test the component. This methodology considers all of the constraints, and systematically develops a solution by going through the process for all of the physical constraints of the modern components considered in design, such as motors, controllers, batteries, electronics and tires.
Benefits of the ProjectThis project is most worthy now a days because of peoples interest in electric cars and get frustrated from expenses of combustion engine car. And as we know electric cars are future they will replace combustion engine cars soon and we all know natural recourses are ending and because of lack they are becoming more expensive which is difficult to afford by a middle class person. Through this car we want to educate people about electric cars and their advantages so they car easily switch to electric cars.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableAvion (Electric Powered Formula Racing Car) will be driven by a 3 Phase electric motor of approx. All of these are according to the rules of SAE Formula Electric Car 2019.
