Now a day’s vehicle is increasing day by day and it is difficult to control the parking system in old parking system. As in old parking systems there are so many issues about security and time management. It is difficult to properly check each and every vehicle and at the time of entrance, drivers have to wait for longer time which is too exhausted and time consuming.

A solution to the aforementioned problems, we need an automated parking system in which we monitor the vehicles properly, clear the security issues and most important to mange time efficiently.

Autonomous car authentication system is an automated car parking in which when car is entering it is detected by sensor and monitor by cameras, it's completely checked and if the car is clear no issue then it will be allowed to park the boom barrier will uplift automatically no third party means operator is needed if there is any security issue the barrier will not up it block the way for car. Autonomous car Authentication system is a low cost and beneficial car parking system. AVAS will include the automated license plate recognition and face detection.

Project Objectives

We propose an autonomous vehicle authentication system, that reduce manpower and increase security. Here are some of the objective of our project.

1. Understand all the equipments required in building the vehicle authentication system. We also need to understand the required sensors.

2. Integrating, installing and interfacing the equipments in the real time environment and test to pass the vehicles.

3. After successful implementation manually we interface the computer system with authentication system.

4. Later we may integrate the camera for the license plate recognition for the vehicle authentication and face recognition for the person driving the vehicle.

Project Implementation Method

The Autonomous vehicle Authentication system consist of some major things, like the boom barrier is auto, it uplifts the and down automatically no third party is required and we use cameras for monitoring the vehicles cameras are used as detectors, the main aim of autonomous vehicle Authenticating system is to make secure and easy car parking.

In automatic boom barrier the best in class entrance control equipment for a safety. High torque motor: Long lasting motor that generates up to 600Nm torque. Optical beam sensor: Safety device to detect presence of vehicles and reversal of boom.

1. Improved security: Security is so important these days for commercial and residential properties. By installing a boom gate with autonomous vehicle authentication system, we can approve or deny entry to vehicles entering based on their credentials.

2. Control the flow of traffic: The proposed system is the best way to control the flow of traffic on and off your property. This is important for properties with limited parking spaces that often attract a lot of vehicles. The proposed system also allows you to control how many vehicles are on your property at any given time. And if your car park is full, you can prevent further entry.

3. Save money on security costs: The proposed system will save you money on security costs in the long run. You will have a one-off cost to install the boom gate security system, but once it’s installed it is very low cost and low maintenance. By installing a proposed vehicle authentication system, we can often reduce the need for a security guard. This means that we won’t have ongoing security costs once it’s installed.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final deliverable, we will propose an Autonomous vehicle Authentication system which will be comprised of a hardware/software integrated system.

1. The system will detect the vehicle from the distance.

2. After detecting the vehicle, it will detect the license plate of the vehcile.

3. The final product may include the face recognition, if the time and budget permits otherwise we will keep it for the future work.

4. Once detection and recognitions done the boom barrier will automatically uplift and when the vehicle passes through it. The barrier will automatically down lift.
